Job Description
We are currently recruiting for the fulltime position of Export Contracts & Documentation Officer based in our office in Abbotsford. This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate production of export container shipment documentation.
Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Manage container / bulk shipping including liaising with customers, accepting vessels nominations, communication with packing houses, bulk handling companies, transport operators, shipping companies, banks, superintendents, and Government departments.
- Preparation of shipping documents including Letters of Credit.
- Co-ordination of container packing with packers
Experience :
- Warehouse operations.
- Supply Chain & Rail / Road Logistics.
- Grains and Pulses Industry (preferred).
- Department of Agriculture Experience (preferred).
- Proven international trade finance and export documentation experience.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in agriculture and/or business desirable but not essential
- Experience in the bulk commodity and/or container export industry
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work within team environment
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to interact effectively with employees, customers and third parties
