About the role
As a Facilities Service Officer, you will be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience to patrons of the Town Hall and Council's offsite venues. The key priority in this role is to ensure Council staff and external customers received satisfaction when using Council facilities.
Reporting to the Team Leader Venue Experience, you will:
- Providing thoughtful and responsive service, addresses the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, fostering a positive customer experience
- Set up/dismantle meeting rooms and functions, including tables and chairs, AV equipment and coffee stations
- Ensure equipment is functional and adhering to OH&S guidelines.
- Liaise with the public, event organisers, external users and Council staff
- In the event of an emergency, act as the Fire Warden and help coordinate the organisation's Emergency Management Plan
This position may require you to work during weekends and evening hours and across several facilities within the Municipality as and when needed.
About you
We are looking for an individual who is proactive, efficient and results focused with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
You must be able to work autonomously and manage your own time in the face of competing demands.
The following is also required:
- Customer first attitude and ability to provide an excellent experience to both external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent oral communication skills with hirers, guests, and staff
- Knowledge of and ability to trouble shoot audio visual systems and technologies
- Skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety procedures
- Experience in the Service Industry
- A current Victorian Drivers licence
