About the Role
This role oversees the day-to-day housekeeping operations to ensure rooms are impeccably prepared for guest arrivals. Working closely with the Front Office team, the Housekeeping Manager helps deliver seamless service and supports creating memorable guest experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations across rooms and public areas.
- Ensure guest rooms are cleaned and ready by required check-in times.
- Supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping staff.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments for task completion.
- Manage linen inventory, supplies, and uniform distribution.
- Maintain lost property records and guest communication.
- Monitor cleanliness of public areas, restrooms, and corridors.
- Assist with training staff to meet quality and brand standards.
- Control departmental costs and stay within budget targets.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed.
- Respond to guest requests and special room setups.
- Follow up on inspections, audits, and guest feedback.
Skills and experiences
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar housekeeping management role within a hotel environment.
- Sound knowledge of housekeeping procedures
- Possess a high standard of professional grooming.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Well presented with exceptional communication skills.
