Lake Lucas Almonds Pty Ltd is a dedicated grower and producer of high-quality almonds based in Meilman East, Euston NSW 2737. Lake Lucas Almonds Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time qualified Irrigation Assistant who is committed to working in regional New South Wales on a long-term basis.
Salary is $76,515 per annum plus super.
The Irrigation Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Determine and schedule irrigations based on weather conditions
- Irrigate crops as required
- Assess soil moisture on a daily basis by undertaking crop inspections
- Assist in design and implementation of the irrigation program
- Schedule irrigations
- Install irrigation systems
- Maintain pumping systems for irrigation
- Daily maintenance of irrigation systems
- Completing general tasks assisting others as required
- Participate in staff development as requested or required
- Inspect and report any maintenance required
Required qualifications and/or experience:
· A relevant AQF Certificate II or equivalent AND at least 1 year of relevant experience (at least 20 hours per week); OR
· At least 2 years of relevant experience (at least 38 hours per week).
Ideal background and skills:
· Experience within the Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry is highly desirable.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
