The role is the Key Account Manager for Maritime representing all Thales Australia interests across our efforts in the Maritime segment of markets.
The ideal candidate will have customer knowledge intimacy with the Navy, broader maritime business both locally and internationally as well as broader Defence environments.
Some key responsibilities
- Drive growth in above and underwater systems through sector insights, influence, and relationships across maritime, especially the ADF.
- Align and position maritime offerings with government expectations, emerging opportunities, and capability realisation within business lines.
- Resolve maritime business issues via critical analysis, options development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop a strategic narrative and deliver multi-channel influence campaigns, focusing on growth and delivery for the maritime domain.
- Position the brand as a thought leader, establish industry coalitions and partnerships, and provide strategic advice and relationship management across stakeholders and advisory boards.
On day one you will come with:
- Previous National Security or ADF service with deep knowledge and experience of maritime capability
- Previous experience with or exposure to senior Defence leadership
- Understanding of AUKUS Pillar 1 and 2 opportunities and experience with maritime autonomy, ISR and Strike
- Demonstrated issues management capability, particularly in interfacing with communications and senior leadership
- Established relationships across government and navy, with an ability to leverage and enhance Thales’ and ELT profile and influence in that sector
- Hold NV2 Australian Government Security clearance.
