About the role
As the Manager Program Strategy and Engagement, you will lead the design, review, and continuous improvement of community recovery programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring that programs are responsive to the evolving needs of disaster-impacted communities.
You will drive collaboration across government and external stakeholders, oversee program governance, and lead strategic engagement to ensure communities are equipped to prepare for, adapt to, and recover from disasters. Your leadership will influence the development of business cases, program reforms, and evaluation strategies that deliver measurable outcomes and support long-term resilience
About You
You will be a strong candidate for this role if you can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in program design, including business case development and governance oversight.
- Strong leadership in managing cross-agency project teams to deliver program improvements.
- Expertise in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation strategies for funding programs.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions.
- A track record of building and maintaining productive relationships across government and with external partners.
- High-level written communication skills, including the preparation of reports, briefs, and correspondence for senior audiences.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in designing, delivering and coordinating funding programs.
- Ability to synthesise complex material from multiple sources and provided analysis and advice
- Ability to work and manage a multi-disciplinary team and contractors.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier’s Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
