Reporting to the Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner - Pacific you will be responsible for providing high level executive secretarial, administrative and operational project support to the Commissioner and the International Markets Team. You will coordinate, manage and provide quality control over workflows within the unit. You will also be required to balance conflicting priorities, work to deadlines, display a high degree of professionalism, judgment and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
Based in Brisbane, here's what your role will involve:
Have demonstrated working knowledge of current matters relevant to the Pacific and the impact on trade, investment and international education engagement with Queensland.
Deliver Business Development Support:
Undertake high level research, analysis and project support for the Pacific team.
Provide event support for the Commissioner's and Business Development Managers activities across the Pacific
Assist in monitoring and update of client management system for the Pacific team.
Maintain and support development of business cases for the Pacific team in collaboration with industry teams.
Support the Commissioner with high level content and structure of speeches and presentation in both PowerPoints and talking point formats
Deliver Business Administration Support providing high level confidential administrative and operational support to the Commissioner including:
Analysis, coordination and preparation of departmental, ministerial, parliamentary and cabinet briefings, agendas, reports, submissions and presentations/events.
Diary and travel management; monthly budget monitoring and analysis, processing expenditure approvals, invoices and accounts; reconciling monthly corporate card expenses.
Actively participate in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions and projects both domestically and internationally as required.
Maintain a high level of accuracy in all administrative documents associated with activities within the division.
Coordinate stakeholder responses across the division on a range of operational and policy matters.
Establish and maintain effective communication strategies, protocols, stakeholder negotiation and liaison activities across Pacific cultures and other private and public sector organisations.
Develop and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders across local, state and federal agencies, industry to continue to build commitment to long term growth
