What you’ll do

As a Tenant Review & Engagement Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring tenants have a strong voice in shaping our services.

You’ll develop and support inclusive engagement strategies that empower tenants to participate in reviews, consultations and decision-making processes.

By fostering collaboration between tenants, internal teams, and community partners, you’ll help drive service improvements and promote a tenant-centric approach across Believe Housing Australia.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Facilitating tenant engagement activities including consultations, surveys, focus groups and community events to gather feedback and promote active participation.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure housing policies and procedures are tenant-centric, fair, and aligned with regulations and best practices.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of tenant feedback by tracking service performance, implementing recommendations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Conducting research and analysis on emerging housing trends, best practices and legislative changes and providing recommendations.
  • Identifying and developing specific projects that support our Tenant Voice Strategy.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in tenant engagement or a similar role within the housing sector, with the ability to assess community needs and develop evidence-based strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute and evaluate projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders as well as the ability to work autonomously and be self-driven.
  • Ability to record relevant information accurately in line with privacy legislation and policies and research and analyse data.

We would also love you to have:

  • Strong understanding of housing policies, regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in social impact measurement is desirable.
  • Ability to identify strategic gaps and help develop initiatives to drive improvement and alignment.
