Coda Bar and Restaurant
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Venue Manager and to lead our Coda front of house team.
Asian inspired, Coda is an intimate and warm restaurant located on Melbourne’s iconic Flinders Lane. Since opening in 2009, Coda has been awarded the Age Good Food Guide’s Hat Award every year.
Currently open 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner, this is a unique opportunity to work in one of Melbourne’s leading restaurants alongside a dedicated and experienced team of professionals.
The Venue Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintaining efficient service operating procedures
- Meeting financial objectives including financial analysis, cost of goods, wage targets and staff rostering
- Implementing training programs, company policies and standard operating procedures
- Leading and training a high performing team
- Engaging with customers and handling feedback.
- Fulfilling additional tasks and projects as required by the General Manager.
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience leading a team in an similar environment
- An understanding of Modern Asian cuisine, or the equivalent hatted restaurant quality
- A good understanding of domestic and international wines, including wine service
- A passion for great food and wine, an eye for detail and a drive to deliver great service
- A hands-on approach, understanding that this position requires a strong presence on the floor, and a lead-by-example attitude.
