Your Next Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting both maintenance and operational teams by identifying, managing, and improving electrical and production automation processes. You will bring your technical expertise and collaborative mindset to help lift equipment effectiveness and operational outcomes across the site.
- All our people go home in the same condition they came to work; safety before production.
- Proactively manage and maintain automation systems across the area.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to support electrical safety, effective flow control, and production optimisation.
- Recommend and implement electrical and mechanical improvements by partnering with internal and external stakeholders on various site projects.
- Act as a mentor to others in the electrical team, sharing your knowledge and helping build capability to resolve complex electrical issues.
- Carry out tasks in line with defined standards and in compliance with all relevant quality, environmental, legislative and regulatory requirements.
You will rotate between the following shifts:
- Week 1 - Monday - Thursday - 10:00am - 6:00pm
- Week 2 - Monday - Thursday - 10:00am - 6:00pm and Friday - 5:00am - 1:30pm
Maryborough
You will be based at our Glulam plant in Maryborough West, located in the beautiful Fraser Coast region. This coastal town offers affordable living and is proudly home to Queensland's greatest icons including K'Gari.
About you
- Electrical trade qualification.
- Experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Skilled in Allen Bradley/PILZ PLC programming, fault-finding, and AC drives.
- Hydraulics and pneumatics experience (advantageous).
- First aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Good computer skills, ideally with Pronto or similar CMMS.
- Experience in technical service, planning, and stakeholder engagement, preferably in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving frameworks (desirable).
