About the role:
Are you passionate about supporting families and creating safe, nurturing environments for children? We’re looking for a caring and committed Kinship Placement Support Worker in Rockhampton to empower carers and create safe, stable homes for kids.
What will a typical day look like?
- Support Kinship Carers to build strong, nurturing environments
- Partner with families and community services
- Identify training needs and boost carer confidence.
- Lead carer inductions and develop tailored support plans
- Contribute to care planning and placement stability.
- Help organise meaningful events for children and carers
- Be part of an on-call roster for timely support.
- Keep placement records up-to-date and manager carer renewals.
Mandatory Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in social or behavioural sciences, social work, or psychology.

- A strong communicator, able to quickly build rapport and influence across a diverse range of people.

- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
