We are currently recruiting for a Safety Officer to help ensure a safe and compliant workplace across our food and beverage outlets within the Manly Wharf precinct. Reporting to the Safety Manager, this role will be key in driving our safety culture, overseeing the implementation of health and safety policies, conducting regular risk assessments, managing incident reporting and investigations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct hazard inspections, track outcomes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Provide safety advice on equipment and signage prior to purchase, assist with procurement, delivery and manage related invoicing.
  • Coordinate the process for safe operating procedures, including follow-up reviews and action tracking.
  • Coordinate contractor inductions and sign-ins, monitor compliance, and prepare regular reports.
  • Coordinate on-site incident investigations and support management in completing reports within required timeframes.
  • Assist with administration related to workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.
  • Coordinate and support delivery of training, including first aid, fire warden responsibilities, food safety, and other compliance programs.

What we are looking for:

  • Able to take initiative while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Confident in building strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to partner with operations teams to achieve safety outcomes.
  • Cert 4 in WHS is highly desirable or have the willingness to obtain through training
  • First aid certificate – highly desirable
