The Scholarships function manages the full lifecycle of both donor-funded and University-funded scholarship programs—from promotion and application assessment to confirming eligibility, awarding, and payments. Your New Role!
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scholarships and Prizes Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective administration of student scholarships and prizes, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for students throughout the application and disbursement process.
Your key responsibilities will include –
- Administer student scholarships and prizes under the direction of the Manager, Student Enquiry and Scholarships.
- Respond to student enquiries regarding scholarship applications and eligibility.
- Assess scholarship applications and coordinate the timely disbursement of funds.
- Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to support the University’s strategic goals.
- Work closely with the Director, Student Experience to ensure business processes are student-focused, efficient and effective.

This Continuous| Part time (22.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $79K – $96K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- A degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- Knowledge of student admin regulations and experience ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- A strong customer service focus with a drive for continuous process improvement.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
