About the Role
We’re seeking an organised and community-minded Business & Venue Support Officer to join our Business and Industry Growth team. Reporting to the Manager – Business and Industry Growth, you will be based at the Virginia Horticulture Centre (VHC), a key business hub for northern Adelaide’s horticulture sector.
You’ll be the primary onsite presence, responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the facility which could include managing venue bookings, responding to co-working and tenancy enquiries, and ensuring a professional, safe and welcoming environment for users. You’ll also contribute to business development initiatives, support delivery of industry events, and serve as a key point of contact for local businesses seeking information, referrals and Council engagement.
About You
People are at the heart of everything you do, whether it’s your team, your internal and external customers, or your community. Your ability to build rapport with business owners, tenants and stakeholders will be key, along with your attention to detail. Experience in business support or facility management will serve you well, along with a genuine interest in local economic growth.
With a proactive approach and strong organisational skills, you’re confident working independently while staying connected to a wider team. You will bring an understanding of economic development or local business environments that will help you engage with stakeholders from across industry, government, and the community.
