About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this is a key role in which you will be responsible for delivering agreed sales targets and business goals with your success being defined by maintaining a structured contact plan which is continually tailored to establish and improve relationships with new and existing customers to maintain and grow the business across varied markets. Detailed accountabilities are found in the PD which is available upon request and will include:
- Developing and maintaining a structured customer contact plan within the allocated accounts in line with allocated budget targets.
- Maintaining and enhancing positive working relationships with assigned customers to build customer loyalty and maximise the likelihood of winning future business.
- Identifying and thoroughly following up all new business, product and/or project opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Achieving the volume/unit targets (total and/or segment and/or account) within the allocated territory.
- Achieving ongoing pricing targets and complying with all pricing policies.
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Experience within the Concrete, Aggregates, Construction, building materials, or related sectors will be an advantage.
- A self-motivated and outcomes-orientated attitude with a passionate `can do' mind set.
- A well-developed understanding of the importance of and ability to effectively communicate and build relationships both externally and within the business.
- Highly effective skills at managing key stakeholder relationships.
- A strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Sales Force and other systems required to do the role effectively.
