About the role
In the position of Principal House Officer, you will be expected to participate in the provision of high quality urgent care services within Ripley Satellite Hospital. This requires an applicant who can provide primary health care and emergency medicine, despite limited onsite investigations available. This position is based at the Ripley Satellite Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new facility, providing high quality acute primary care medical services in West Moreton Health.
The Principal House Officer provides clinical services in a service that is innovative, encourages participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstratable improvement in patient outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Passion for providing excellent clinical care to your community as a Principal House Officer.
Experience in delivering quality care in a primary care environment, outpatients setting, and an Emergency Department across a variety of acuity and care needs.
Knowledge and practical application of the National Quality & Safety Standards through the delivery of safe and quality focussed patient centred care.
Excellent communication and team work skills across a variety of settings including in an emergency.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
