THE ROLE


This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for Aboriginal children and families involved with child protection. This role seeks a dynamic individual to work in partnership with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) to deliver on the government's commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and self-management, as outlined in the vision of Wungurilwil Gapgapduir: Aboriginal Children and Families Agreement, the Aboriginal Children's Forum, Roadmap for Reform and Beyond Good Intentions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE


  • Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet statewide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
  • Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
  • Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
