We are looking for a strategic and experienced Business Manager to lead key operational and growth initiatives. This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of business operations and development in a purpose-driven organisation.
About the Role
The Business Manager will play a central role in driving the growth, sustainability, and operational effectiveness of NDMHS. This position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about business development, compliance, and continuous improvement within the NDIS framework.
You will work closely with the Director to identify new opportunities, optimise existing systems, and ensure the organisation meets all regulatory and quality standards. Your ability to think strategically while managing the day-to-day business needs will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement business development strategies to grow NDIS services and client base.
- Identify and pursue new referral sources and partnership opportunities.
- Oversee the setup and management of new Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.
- Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct internal audits and lead the preparation for NDIS external audits to ensure compliance.
- Stay up to date with changes to NDIS legislation and ensure internal processes align with current standards.
- Manage and track invoicing on a fortnightly basis and categorise payments received accurately.
- Analyse service delivery data and prepare reports to inform strategic planning.
- Support the Director with project management, stakeholder engagement, and operational planning.
- Maintain strong relationships with external providers, clients, and internal stakeholders to enhance service delivery and reputation.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business management, preferably within the disability or community services sector.
- In-depth understanding of the NDIS and its operational, compliance, and quality requirements.
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management or related field.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in business development and strategic growth planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of initiative and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
